Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB)
The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) was founded in 1978 with the sole aim of conducting a Matriculation Examination for entry into all Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation board measures candidates’ academic abilities through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to determine their suitability for higher levels of learning.

- Visit the JAMB result checking portal “https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults“.
- Input your JAMB Registration Number and registered Email Address as instructed in the right column.
- Click on “Check My Results“.
- Your JAMB UTME result will be displayed if ready, and then you can print it out!
How to Check your JAMB UTME Result via SMS
To access your JAMB UTME result via SMS (Text Message) kindly follow the steps below;
- Using your mobile phone with the phone number used during your registration, send an SMS.
- Text ” RESULT” to 55019
- You must have at least N50 airtime balance on your registered sim card.
- Your JAMB UTME result will be sent to you shortly via SMS.
Common responses you can encounter
- If you use a different phone number, other than the phone number used during registration, you’ll receive the message “This phone number was not used for registration.”
- If you used the required phone number, you’ll receive your result as a text message with the format “Dear Mr/Miss Z, your result is as follows… (and the result details will be provided).
- If your result is been withheld, you’ll the message “Result Withheld”.
- If your result has been withheld is due to a certain reason that JAMB has allowed being rectified by you, you’ll receive the message “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
- If you missed your JAMB UTME you’ll receive the text “CANDIDATE ABSENT”.
- Candidates who gained unauthorized access into the JAMB examination hall will receive the text “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall”.
How to Print your JAMB UTME Original Result Slip
- Visit the jamb portal “http://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/Login“.
- Log into your JAMB profile.
- Click on ” Print Result Slip” under the displayed list of services.
- Click on “continue with payment” to complete the payment process via the Remita platform.
- After completion of payment, you can easily print your JAMB result will by “selecting your examination year and JAMB Registration Number” in the required columns.
NOTE: The JAMB Result slip is a very important and essential document for all Candidates. The JAMB result is required by all higher institutions of learning (university, polytechnic, college of education, school of nursing, etc.) in other to get admitted.
The JAMB results will also be requested of you during various screening and clearance processes during and after your stay in the institution.
