How to Register For the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)

To register for the NOUN, follow the procedures below:

FIRST STEP

  1. Visit the official NOUN website at nouonline.net
  2. Tap on the menu bar on the Home page
  3. Click on the “Student” icon
  4. Click on “Register”
  5. You will be required to enter the following details:
    1. Matric Number
    2. Surname
    3. Other names
    4. Phone number
    5. State of Origin
    6. Password
  6. Click on “Submit”

SECOND STEP

After submitting your registration form, proceed with the following actions:

  1. After submitting the form, go back to the home page
  2. Click on “Student”
  3. Click on “Login”
  4. Enter your Matric number
  5. Enter your password
  6. Click on noun student portal login
  7. On the NOUN portal, click on “Manage Wallet”
  8. Click on “Load Wallet”
  9. Enter your correct details
  10. Enter the required amount to pay
  11. Click on “Pay”
  12. Copy the RRR number displayed on the screen and head to any bank branch to make the payment.

THIRD STEP

After making the required payment at any bank branch, carry out the following procedures:

  2. Enter your Matric number and password to login to your student portal
  3. Click on “Manage wallet”
  4. Click on “Check Payment status”
  5. Enter your Matriculation number and the RRR number
  6. Click on “Check Wallet Payment”

FINAL STEP

The final step for student registration should be carried out as follows:

  1. After confirming your payment on the portal
  2. Click on the “Home” icon
  3. Click on “Registration”
  4. Select your semester registration
  5. Enter the required details into the space provided
  6. Click on “Submit”
  7. Proceed with your course and exam registration
  8. Click on “submit”

How to Apply for the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)

To apply for the National Open University of Nigeria, follow the procedures below:

  1. Visit the official NOUN website at nouonline.net.
  2. Tap on the Menu bar on the Home Page
  3. Click on “Apply for Admission”
  4. Select the type of program you wish to apply for. (Undergraduate Programme or Postgraduate Programme).
  5. Click on “Choose Faculty” at the left-hand side of your screen.
  6. Select the Faculty from the list displayed
  7. A form will be displayed on the screen, fill the form.
  8. Check the admission criteria for each faculty below
  9. After confirming the criteria, click on “Apply” to proceed.
  10. Copy out the UNIQUE ID displayed on the screen.
  11. Click on ‘Continue’
  12. Now select a Bank Branch to make payment
  13. Click on the “Pay” icon
  14. Copy the RRR number displayed on the screen and take it to your preferred bank branch for payment
  15. After making the payment, head back to the NOUN portal to complete your application
  16. Click on “Apply for admission” once again
  17. Click on “Continue after payment”
  18. Enter your unique ID, RRR number, and selected programme
  19. Click on Proceed
  20. Fill the form displayed on the screen
  21. Click on submit
  22. Proceed to print your admission letter
  23. After printing your admission letter, head to the nearest NOUN study centre for screening.
